On November 1, 2023, five faculty and administrators from Auburn University presented a Fulbright In The Classroom program to students from Lee County Alabama. The program was entitled “Bringing Global Experience to K-through-College Students”. This program is part of an ongoing effort to broaden the global perspective of Alabama students through sharing of personal international experiences. Dr. Chippewa Thomas, President of the Alabama Fulbright Chapter, and Dr. Leslie Cordie, Vice-President, along with Dr. Elizabeth Quansah, Dr. Jason Bryant, Dr. Venus Hewing and Ms. Olivia Houlden described their international activities and how these experiences positively impacted their lives and careers. Following the presentations, the students were treated to an arts, crafts, and clothing fair containing items representing a wide diversity of cultures.
